"I Accuse" by Mirta Villanueva Alemeida
(HAVANA/CUBA./November 16/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)- We just received from Havana the "I Acuse" written by Mirta Villanueva Almeida, a 68 year old activist, in which she denounces the brutal beating she received at the hands of the former agent of the Cuban State Security Luis Rolando Batista Tamayo. She also reveals the identity of the aggressor by providing us with a recent photograph of the man. Such Barbarism left her with a fractured rib, pelvis, hip and clavicle, injuries that led to her admission at the Fructuoso Rodríguez hospital in the residential zone of el Vedado in the Cuban Capital.
I am forced to write from my bed- states Mrs. Villanueva- after being victim of a beating at the hands of a member of the paramilitary groups of the communist regime of Fidel Castro. I, Mirta Villanueva Almeida, member of the National Directive of the Democratic Party November 30 "Frank País", in perfect state of mind Accuse:
"I accuse the dictatorial, militaristic and totalitarian regime that governs our Country against the will of the people, thereby violating its own laws.
"I accuse all of whom wear uniforms of the political police, that without previous investigation released in less than 36 hours the aggressor who severely injured me, Luis Rolando Batista Tamayo, a member of SEPSA, an organization of the Cuban Interior Ministry. These lesions keep me permanently in bed, preventing my humble participation and solidarity with all activities promoting the liberty of my people and that of all the political prisoners and those of conscience".
"I Accuse Captain Dionisia, Unit Director, First Leiutenant Helmer, officers Despaine, Miguel and all others at Police Units at Fraternidad and Capri, all of whom support and protect paramilitaries such as Mr. Luis Rolando Batista Tamayo, who continues celebrating his victory ( immoral) over the body of a defenseless old woman, [...] who demands liberty for all the political prisoners and those of conscience”.
This is a synthesis of the "I Accuse" written by Mirta Villanueva Almeida, in Havana Cuba, on the 11th day of November and sent to the Information Bridge Cuba Miami and Net For Cuba International on the 12t day of November 2004.

Denuncia con foto del agresor de Mirta Villanueva Almeida.
(LA HABANA/CUBA./16 de noviembre/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)- Acabamos de recibir desde la Habana, Cuba, un “Yo Acuso” de la señora Mirta Villanueva Almeida, activista de 68 años de edad, donde denuncia una vez más la brutal golpiza de que fuera objeto por parte del ex agente de la Seguridad del Estado cubana Luis Rolando Batista Tamayo, así como también nos revelara datos sobre la identidad del agresor, incluyendo una fotografía del mismo. Tamaña barbarie, le dejaría fracturada una costilla, la pelvis, la cadera y la clavícula, y sería posteriormente internada en el hospital Fructuoso Rodríguez de la zona residencial del vedado, en la capital cubana.
Desde mi cama donde me encuentro –nos escribió la señora Villanueva- postrada después de haber sido agredida por un miembro de las bandas paramilitares del régimen Comunista de Fidel Castro, Yo, Mirta Villanueva Almeida, miembro de la Junta Directiva Nacional del Partido Democrático 30 de Noviembre “Frank País”, en plena facultades Mentales aunque no físicas por las lesiones recibidas, acuso:
“Yo acuso al régimen totalitario militarista y dictatorial que hoy gobierna a mi País, en contra de la voluntad de su pueblo, de violar sus propias leyes, su anacrónica y obsoleta Constitución impuesta que no resuelve nada, que no representa nada, a no ser lo que al régimen le conviene y sus seguidores.”
“Yo acuso a todos aquellos que visten el uniforme de la policía Política que sin previa investigación, haciendo total alarde de sus poderes, en menos de 36 horas pusieron en libertad a quién me agredió y causó mis lesiones graves, Luis Rolando Batista Tamayo, un miembro de SEPSA, perteneciente al Ministerio del Interior. Estas lesiones me mantienen en la cama permanente, sin que hoy pueda continuar adelante con mi modesto y desinteresado aporte y apoyo a la lucha por la libertad y la democracia de mi pueblo y la de todos los presos políticos y de conciencia.”
“Yo acuso a quienes en la policía de Fraternidad y del Capri, como son los oficiales Capitán Dionisia, jefa de Unidad, Primer Teniente Helmer, segundo jefe de Unidad, oficiales Despaine, Miguel y muchos más quienes apoyan, amparan y protegen a paramilitares como este señor Luis Rolando Batista Tamayo, quien continúa celebrando su victoria (inmoral por demás) sobre mi persona, anciana indefensa [...] que exige la libertad de todos los presos políticos y de conciencia”
Esta es una síntesis del “Yo Acuso” de Mirta Villanueva Almeida, redactado en la Habana el 11 de noviembre del corriente y enviado al Puente Informativo Cuba Miami y Net For Cuba International a los 12 días de mes de noviembre de 2004.
